3. Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions for The Pit and Platter

Services


The Pit and Platter provides catering services for private, corporate, and public events. This includes:

  • Buffet catering (hot & cold)

  • Finger food & grazing tables

  • BBQ Buffets

  • Mobile food trailer / street food services

  • Online food delivery

 

Booking & Confirmation

  • Bookings are only confirmed after receipt of a deposit (usually 30%) and written confirmation from The Pit and Platter.

  • Final menu selections must be confirmed 7 days prior to the event.

  • Full payment must be received 7 days before the event date.

 

Payment Methods


We accept:

  • Bank transfer

  • Cash (for local deliveries or collection, where agreed)

  • Card payments (where agreed)

 

4. Deposit & Payment Policy

Booking Confirmation

  • All bookings are confirmed once a deposit of 30% of the total booking cost has been received.

  • The deposit secures your event date and confirms your agreement with The Pit and Platter.

 

Payment of Balance

  • The remaining balance is due 7 days before the event (or another agreed-upon date).

  • Payment can be made via bank transfer or other agreed methods.

  • If the event is within 7 days, full payment must be made to secure your event

 

Refunds & Cancellations

  • Deposits are non-refundable if the booking is cancelled within 7 days of the event.

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event will receive a full refund of the deposit.

  • In the event that The Pit and Platter must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of the deposit and any payments made will be issued.

 

Late Payments

  • Failure to pay the balance by the agreed date will result in the cancellation of the booking and loss of deposit.

  • Any additional charges incurred due to last-minute changes or additions may be invoiced separately.

 

Special Arrangements

  • For large or bespoke events, a higher deposit (up to 50%) may be required at the discretion of The Pit and Platter.

  • Any changes to the deposit or payment terms will be agreed in writing prior to confirmation.

 

Allergies & Dietary Requirements

  • Clients must provide a full list of dietary requirements and allergens 7 days before the event.

  • While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee that food is completely free of allergens.

 

Delivery & Setup

  • Our team will arrive at the agreed time for setup and service.

  • Any additional requests or changes on the day may incur extra charges.

 

Liability

  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

  • Our maximum liability is limited to the total value of the confirmed booking.

  • Clients are responsible for providing a safe environment for our staff and equipment. If this is not provided then the event may be cancelled with all deposits and payments non-refundable.

 

Photography & Marketing

  • We may take photos at events for our social media and other promotional purposes unless clients opt out in writing.

 

Changes to Terms

  • We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Updated terms will be published on our website.
